ABOUT THE SUPERINTENDENT/CEO

Collegiate Preparatory International Academy is developed by the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Claytisha Walden.  With over twenty years in the field of education and youth development, Dr. Claytisha Walden is an energetic, passionate, and dynamic leader who has worked with young people from early childhood to young adults. She is worked in many capacities from teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal. A former elementary, middle, and high school instructor with a heart for young people describe her varied educational background. She has expertise in child and adolescent development, instructional technology, and organizational change.

• Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from Lighthouse Christian College
• Master of Science in Urban and Multicultural Education from College of Mount Saint Vincent
• Master of Science in Educational Administration and Supervision from Baruch College
• Doctor of Philosophy from Newburgh Theological Seminary
• Doctor of Education from California Coast University

Dr. Claytisha Walden served as Associate Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction at Mount Vernon City School District and previously as an Associate in School Accountability at the New York State Education Department.
